The Top of the Hill Story

Top of the Hill Day Care Center was established in September of 1983 as an outreach ministry of Philadelphia First Church of the Brethren.  Our aim and goal over the past two decades has been to to provide high quality child care and learning in a caring environment.  Our commitment to his goal has not changed.  Teachers and staff regularly attend continuing education events and are trained annually in First Aid, fire prevention, and in the use of our emergency plan.  We take the safety of the children entrusted to our care very seriously.

What you can Expect at Top of the Hill

Top of the Hill is a not-for-profit organization that is licensed and inspected by the state of Pennsylvania on an annual basis.  Top of the Hill is also fully insured and works to provide a safe a family like environment for the children who attend Top of the Hill.  We have a High rate of retention among our staff, and we have had several students of Top of the Hill who have returned to work at Top of the Hill.  We like to maintain relationships with students and families, and often have people returning to visit.

Top of the Hill strives to provide the best care possible in a small class room environment, staffed with caring and patient teachers.  Top of the Hill is not a large center with twenty children in a classroom, rather it is smaller center with smaller classes where children learn to know their teachers and the teachers know the children.  It allows for more one-on-one time, and a good ratio between students and teachers.
